Nothing like jumping right in.  I have a lot to learn.  Glad to know my favorite word is "so"!  Oh, I like "um", too.  And, "and".

Some things I discussed:
Sandy from by the lakeside.  She has a wonderful podcast and a beautiful Etsy shop!  Sandy also has yarn in the works, so you won't want to miss that.
Socks ::  2 at a time magic loop (yes!) using Mrs. Crosby Train Case
Shawl ::  Windswept shawl by Christina Danaee
Sweater :: Byron Bay by We Are Knitters
Cowl :: Texto using Sugarbush Chill
Mitts ::  Journey Mitts by June Cashmere
Dpn Holder by the Steady Hand.   Truly I had no idea how much I would love it.
My newest project:  Woolfolk Gradient Poncho
The 100 x Simple Cowl
What the fade KAL.  Who's in?!
What goes in my kids lunch every. single. day.
Traditional back to school brownies.

  5. Leslie! You are a natural! This was so much fun - and loved seeing and hearing about your latest projects and especially the yarns. The "set" is perfect - we even got to see a hummingbird fly by (I think?) so that was fun. Thank you for sharing with us and looking forward to more!

  9. Wow!! Leslie, you did just great! Yes, you were nervous, and yes, you did say, so/and/um, a lot, but I probably would have fainted at just the mere thought of doing a podcast. I watch several videos from other people and many of them started out this way, but once you get more comfortable, it will be fine. I really enjoyed watching you and hearing your voice, and seeing your many projects. Can't wait til the next video. Thank you.

  11. Oh Leslie, that was just delightful! After following your blog for so long it was a real treat to actually hear your voice! The only suggestion I might make is turn up your volume? I had mine all the way up and really struggled to hear you. You've motivated me to get going on some of my WIPs and I cant wait for your next podcast!

  14. I loved the podcast! I have been following the blog for years and years. My oldest just graduated from college in May and my youngest is a junior in high school. I have 2 more kiddos sandwiched in the middle of those two. I have made many of your cookie recipes through the years for our weekly cookie. I was so excited last week when you announced that you were going to start podcasting. Great job!! I am off to look into starting the journey mitts. They look lovely. Looking forward to new episodes in the future.

I'm glad the pin was removed from your leg...hopefully you'll soon have your dancing shoes on once again! We're all works in progress...love any tips and tutorials you can share...looking forward to many more podcasts! Hope you have a wonderful holidays weekend! I'm driving to CT to purchase one more skein of WATG yarn - can't believe I don't have enough to finish the Fast Love Tunic! Hopefully I can finish it this weekend! Hugs!

Just left you a message in Ravelry telling you how much I enjoyed the podcast. Then I remembered you have a blog so thought I'd say it here, too.

Looking forward to the next one.

  20. My family and friends thank you especially for the sea salt brownies recipe- I think I have been making them since you first posted the recipe! Great fun to see you after years of reading your blog- I always enjoy it. When you posted pics of your 100 x simple cowl I got right on the phone with Spun and ordered yarn-so perfect for chatty knitting time! This summer, while visiting friends in Michigan, we made a little field trip to Stonehedge Fiber Mill and got to meet Debbie (the owner), see where Crazy comes to life, and choose lots of fun yarn! My husband said I was yarngasmic! ( did I really write that?) Anyway, lots of fun, thanks to you!

  23. What a wonderful first podcast! I've been reading your blog for a long time and was delighted to find your podcast today. I love the setting, it's inviting and friendly. The iPhone did a great job, just a little low on the volume...that's all. I loved seeing your projects and will be visiting the etsy shops and investigating the idea of two-at-a-time socks on circs. I've been resistant to this, always opting for DPNs.
I think the length of the episode was perfect. I don't watch video podcasts often because I don't have an hour to simply sit and watch. This was the perfect length to watch at lunch or before bed...like I did tonight. Thank you for an inspiring episode! April

  26. How much fun for me to see the very first podcast. I've been reading your blog for a long time and it's nice to now have a face and a voice to put with it. The length was perfect! 20-30 minutes is just right. I kind of never watch the ones that are an hour or hour-and-a-half long.
I loved the tips you shared. I have kept my patterns in protector sheets forever, but never thought about adding the yarn label with a bit of the yarn in with it. Genius!
I really do feel like I have a friend to knit with now! Spending time with you in that lovely corner and seeing what you're working on, sharing tips and even a recipe. Looking forward to the next visit.

  30. How fun to see and hear you after all these years -- your podcast was perfect! (Hummingbird!) I love the magic loop method -- so much that I do everything that require's 2's on in -- socks, sleeves, mitts, sweater fronts ... It only occured to me because your wrist warmer was still on DPNs LOL!
