second sock

Thursday, January 05, 2017

I'll be sending Charlie back to OSU on Sunday.  I am so bummed this break is almost over for him.  Honestly, I can't believe how quickly time goes.  I mean, it's already the 5th of January!
I finished Charlie's second sock.  And I can honestly say, I love making these ankle socks.  Super quick.  And the fact that the college kids can throw them in the wash with let's say, their jeans?  Or towels?  Or sheets?  Or any of the laundry? BONUS!

Pattern:  Home Ankle Socks
Yarn:  Lion Brand Wool Ease, 1 ball, or 2 balls for contrasting
Needles:  Size 5

Oh cool! What yarn is it that he can throw it in the wash? Paton's Kroy? I love how a mama knitted up socks for her beloved growing boy.

  4. hooray for finishing the second sock before Charlie had to head back to school! They look fantastic on him. I hope that it's not too hard to get used to him being gone again, sometimes the end of holidays feels like ripping off a band aid!

  6. Big hugs. I cried buckets when my adult children went back to their homes after Christmas. One is in Mexico teaching, one is 12 hours away by car. It is so hard. Knitting is my comfort though. Love your socks.
