(mirror, mirror)
(just a minute)
I know, she is getting so big. However, I have to remember to rejoice in the fact that at twelve, she is still a little girl. She is only going to get bigger, which is a beautiful thing, too.

Enjoy your day!

  8. Ok--now you have me totally intrigued...I am dying to see the rest of her cute little room! She looks way more grown up then 12--I thought she was older! Enjoy her so much now before the teen years creep in--things change as they change.

  10. I, too, spent the Spring Break day with my daughter yesterday. The contrast between your apparently genteel afternoon and mine, however, is so extreme I had a bit of a giggle. See, I thought it would be "interesting" to take mine into Harvard Square. Via subway. So pretty much everything was opposite of your day - from the bums to the dirty streets to Shuba bowls at a seedy Korean joint... after which we promptly visited the wretched bathroom tucked away in the corner of the third floor of the Harvard Coop. Ay. Your way, as always, is so much prettier. Fortunately, I didn't bring a camera to mine!

  15. Embrace every moment and memory....Cindylou is 14 now and I'm not the most important thing in her world anymore...clothes and friends have replaced me...but yet watching her grow into a young lady is priceless.

The photo of your daughter walking away from you is such a poignant one! When our children are little, we see them most running to us with outstretched arms. As they get older, we are often watching them walk away--to school,to a friend and slowly into their adult lives. As the mom of a 24 year old daughter, I can tell that no matter where your daughter goes you will always follow her with your heart! MAMASAN

  23. What's so very special about the bond you share with your beautiful daughter is the relationship you'll have as friends, woman to woman, as she gets bigger, older. Now that's a sweet presence to know.
