grab some sock yarn

Wednesday, September 30, 2009

I just wanted to mention Kirsten's mystery sock knitalong. Maybe you did it last year, maybe you didn't. If you haven't heard of it, it really is a ton of fun. Kirsten will post new directions every Thursday. It is pretty great to have a weekly goal, accomplish that goal each week, and then have a pair of socks at the end of it. (If you work on both socks!) So, check your stash, shop your local yarn store or order some sock yarn on-line. She will be posting the first clue tomorrow!

  10. Tempting, tempting... I wish you wouldn't keep doing this to me. I have cupcakes and a birthday cake and a book group (and vacuuming and appetizer making) to get through today, along with two meetings... Now I'm going to be obsessed about fitting this in, too.

    Think I can?

I'm really enjoying doing the socks in parts because the knitting is manageable and I can still work on the sweater I'm knitting now too. Thanks for sharing this idea.
