those wooden plates

Friday, August 29, 2008

First of all, for anyone that has ever e-mail me about my wooden plates, I apologize for not getting back to you.  The truth of the matter is that my sister has bought us all of ours.
For a few years when my birthday rolled around I would ask her to add to my collection. Pretty sweet sister.
I adore these plates.  And they are used daily.  Mostly the small plates.  For sandwiches.  Or toast.  Or cookies.
But I also use the bigger sizes.  A lot.  For holding the main serving.  Or chips and dip.  Or cheese and crackers.  Or as a tray.
They do need to be hand washed.  And dried.  Which doesn't seem to bother me.
Anyhow. I finally got the information from my sister.

For anyone interested, these plates can be purchased from Gingersnap Station.
Happy Friday!

  1. Uhm. These types of plates would suit my lifestyle very well. I don't mind washing or drying. We like to eat wherever we want, not necessarily at the table as its just two of us so something sturdy & safe would be perfect, and as "foresters," wood is good (I'll have to show hubby.). Furthermore, as you've shown us, they take a pretty picture. Thanks for sharing!

Very pretty. I have a set of wooden bowls but I don't use them often. They aren't kid friendly. Not my kid friendly.

Oh! Such a lovely and big wooden collection. Such a delight to see your signature breakfasts and other shots in them. I have a few similar plates that I enjoy using, mainly from Target. I really like using wood as an alternative that makes me feel back to nature.

Gorgeous shots too! You are amazing L.!!!

  17. Oh my gosh my stomach is growling. I could take a big bite of your sandwich right about now. Yummo!

I feel your love for wooden plates. I have a few pices of wooden things and I would have more if it weren't for having to hand wash and dry them right away. Thank you for sharing sweetie.

  21. Oooooh, pretty! (I have Target's rendition, and while they're probably not quite as lovely, I agree they are very useful, and worth the handwashing requirements...)

My aunt has those same trays! My uncle was in the Navy, and I am pretty sure he got them overseas somewhere. She also uses them all the time. It was so nice to also see them on your blog.
