prepster

Monday, July 16, 2007

I ordered this yarn from Scout back in February. It was a custom order for Libby who wanted socks in pink, green and yellow. Her favorite colors.

So, the cold feet, are now covered. Finally.
I don't know why, but I had the hardest time working on these. Maybe it was the 2x2.
Libby adores them, and already has in mind how she will wear them.
They will certainly be a welcome addition to her fall wardrobe.
Here is the skinny:
Pattern: On-your -toe socks from summer 2007 Interweave Knits:
Yarn: one skein Prepster, scouts swag
Needles: size 3 double pointed
Notes: First time working from the toe up. It took me two hours to figure out how to do the
middle east wrap method!

  7. As everyone before me (and certainly after as well), I have to echo the sentiment that these are too freakin' cute!! My daughter would love them too, and I CANNOT believe that it only took one skein of Scout's! I have three skeins in my stash to use up... Do I have toe-ups in my future?! Oh wait, I might even have some sKNITches that daughter's picked out!
I made your gingersnaps this weekend - I needed a little holiday spirit, I guess - they're the best gingers I've had. My kids adored them.

I have yet to conquer socks. They look so tedious, and I'm afraid that I will get hopelessly lost in them. But, those are so cute (and I especially love Libby's choice in sneakers.)
