If you wear readers, do you remember how you felt when you first wore them?
Well,  I was actually so excited to wear them.   I even wrote a blog post about it all of those years ago!  It's been almost 12 years. I really can't believe it!
Through the years, I have gone through many pairs and many styles of readers.  MANY pairs I tell you.  I always have a handful in rotation floating around the house.  All usually ending up next to my bed.  I try to save one favorite pair for special times.  And, I usually have one stronger pair designated to nights out for dinner.  Cause if you wear readers, I know you are with me on this!  Those dark restaurants always make me think that my eyes are worse than I thought! :)
The company I always lean towards is Readers.com.  I have found that for the price they can't be beat.  So many styles to choose from that you can have a handful of styles to choose from to match your mood (or your outfit!).   It's true what they say... happy eyes, happy wallet!
Well, guess what?  Those nice peeps at Readers.com are giving away a pair to 3 of MY readers.  You get to choose the style and the strength.  So, if interested, (for you or a friend!), please leave a comment here before Tuesday the 12th, 5pm EST.  I'll have the random number generator choose 3 names.

  3. I love readers. I wear half glass readers and slip them on right over my regular glasses. That way I can see what I'm doing when I look down and can still see the television across the room. :-)

I started wearing readers about 5 years ago. I have always had excellent vision and have never worn glasses, but aging doesn't compromise... I have a pair at my home office, in the bedroom, in the kitchen, in my purse, my computer bag, work, etc. I'm always looking for new stylish pairs!

  12. I wish I could get away with readers! I'm into trifocals these days. My husband wears readers though - cheap ones from Walmart and they are Everywhere! There isn't a flat surface in our house that doesn't have a pair of his, most likely broken, readers laying on it.

Nice! My husband has readers in every room but somehow he still can never find a pair! He gets his at the dollar store but I think his eyes would benefit from better quality specs.

  21. Perhaps because I first got glasses at age 7, I wasn't actually excited to get readers, but they were recommended for me to try a couple of years ago, before switching to multifocal contacts, so I went to the dollar store. I need them more and more often, so maybe it's time to up my spend a little, but I don't know how I would chose which ones to get!

I have been kicking and screaming trying to avoid and deny this new development in my life. Having worn contact lenses for 25 + years, I hate that I have to worry about another pair of glasses... I finally did break down, for those dark/fingering yarn projects, and man what a difference! I will definitely check this site out!

I consider myself lucky to still have the ability to make an adjustment by putting readers on when there are so many people in this world whose vision will never be able to show them the beauty this world holds!
