I remember when my youngest (of four), and only daughter, headed out the door to her adult life. It happens so fast. If you ever need a cathartic cry, just listen to Suzy Bogguss singing, "Letting Go." It will do the trick. Best of luck to Libby...and you.

The good news is that my daughter is now a mom herself, a wonderful woman and my best friend. Something to look forward to.

Congratulations! The University of Colorado is a wonderful college choice for Libby. I may be biased since it is my alma mater. I was going to ask which University of Colorado, but I see from the picture it's Boulder. I live here outside of Colorado Springs and our Universities are awesome. Tried to stear my kids that way but they wanted to fly! One went to VT., did a year at Oxford and has graduated, to get a job back East. My son's in Maine. Yes I'd say the years go too fast and I'm glad I have one left. Wish I could do it all over again. Your daughter will love Colorado and Boulder is a funky town like my Manitou. She'll have fun.
