There are some amazing giveaways going on in blogland right now.
Nicole has some gorgeous yarn.
Katie has some beautiful amy butler fabric.

Erin has the new Betz White book.
And, Julia has some fantastic needle wraps.
You should enter.  You never know, you could win.
And, my sister would like someone who needs a wedding dress to have hers.
My sister and her husband.  Still happily married after eight years.
Seriously.  So if you are planning a summer wedding or know someone that is, and can wear a size 4, then leave me a comment (letting me know you want it) by friday, may 1st at midnight.
If I get more than one request, then I will draw names.  The only catch: you have to pay for the shipping.  And for those of you who like to sew and design your own clothing, there is a lot of beautiful fabric there.  I'm just saying.

  4. It never fails. I step over here for a visit and I leave so grateful for just the basic raw pleasures of life lived wide open. Giving away a wedding dress for the wee price of shipping? That is such a wicked cool idea. I think you'll be having a few people come your way.

I would want that dress...elegant and stylish in any era and time...for the joy and delight that is the beautiful bride's Friend!

And it's funny 'cause I can just about see mine, sitting in one of those dry cleaners boxes in the closet here, where I am...from you there...the door to which I keep open because of the window, bringing in light. It's just about 23 years now, soon. Holy smokes. :D

Peace out! I'll be checking back to browse the comments, for sure!

  29. Seriously?!?! A free wedding dress?!?!? My friend, Amanda, saw this post and forwarded it to me. In the spirit of good will and recycling, that's a great idea and a generous offer. I am going to be getting married, probably in the spring, but i'm not sure that i can fit into a size 4. Normally, I wear a size 6. hmmm.... Do you know what the measurments are?

  30. That is a gorgeous wedding dress. I'm planning on cutting down mine (because there is staining that I can't get out from walking in the mud), because there is a huge amount of fabric going to waste! Hopefully someone will wear or use this dress. It is stunning!
