wishes

Can you believe that we wished on last years wishbone yesterday?
I kid you not.  It sat on our kitchen windowsill, behind a plant, for twelve months.  I would pick it up, clean under it, and put it right back down.  Always thinking that perhaps two of the kids should take a chance at breaking it.  But which two?  So yesterday, they drew papers out of the palm of my hand.  Only two received the lucky piece.  Charlie and Andrew.  And then only one got the big half.  Andrew.  I hope his wish comes true.  (I am sure it is something like, get a new lego guy.)

Onto the giveaway.  I had the random generator (thanks for the emergency help, erin) pick one number from the comments. #334.  And then thinking about, 'tis the season, had it pick another.  #4.
So, the two lucky winners are:
it's the little "tings"  , comment for a necklace that sweet?  You bet!  I just love the birds, so lovely.
Jan, My sisters and I love birds - our mother did, too!  Would love this one!

Congratulations to the winners, please e-mail me with your address.
Thanks for playing, and here's to having wishes come true.

  1. WOW! I think it's awesome that you wished on the wishbone this year (good way to decide who would get to do so!) from last and get to do it all over again this year, should you wish, or next? But, it really tickles me that it sat on the windowsill and you would pick it up and clean under it. I would have thrown it out, eventually! :) Thankful moments, each and every one!

  3. Oh, dear. I did some calculating in my head, and realized it's just over a year since we've known each other. All this time, I thought I was copying YOU. Little did I know, though, that my mad housecleaning skills had apparently rubbed off on you! A year-old wishbone! That's impressive!

  10. I had to chuckle at the serendipity of you needing to figure out a way to arbitrate the wish bone at the same time you were doing the jewelry thing.

did you think of that...or is arbitration such a routine part of life w/ 3 kids that it went right past you?

Congratulations to all the winners...wishbone and jewelry alike!

When i was a kid we had a chicken bone that my brother and I "wished" on and broke together.

My family had fallen in love a home in the country that my parents were in the process of buying when it unexpectedly went into foreclosure. =(

It was devastating to us all. My parents didn't talk about the next step in trying to get the home anyway because they didn't want us to go through the let down again if they weren't able to.

I secretly wished on that bone that we would miraculously get that house somehow.

My side broke bigger than my brother's and I stored it in a box in my room hoping on it for my wish to come true.

It did come true, and being raised on that hobby farm was an amazing blessing to us all.

I'm so sad that no one ever told me that was God's gift and not some stupid chicken bone "wish come true".

    Truth is Light.

  14. When we moved here 3 years ago I tossed out a wishbone that I had floating around in my kitchen for who knows how long. The wishbone battle never goes well here.

  25. Your weblog is fine. I just wish to comment on the design. Its too loud. Its doing way an excessive amount of and it takes away from what youve received to say --which I feel is basically important. I dont know if you happen to didnt suppose that your phrases could maintain everyones attention, however you had been wrong. Anyway, in my language, there aren't a lot good source like this.

  26. Can I make a suggestion? I think youve bought something good here. But what should you added a pair links to a page that backs up what youre saying? Or possibly you would give us one thing to look at, something that would join what youre saying to something tangible? Only a suggestion. Anyway, in my language, there will not be much good source like this.

  29. I've to say, I dont know if its the clashing colors or the bad grammar, but this blog is hideous! I mean, I dont wish to sound like a know-it-all or anything, but might you will have probably put slightly bit extra effort into this subject. Its really interesting, but you dont characterize it well at all, man. Anyway, in my language, there are usually not a lot good supply like this.
