My interweave knits was delivered along with the warmer temps.  Perfect timing.
I think I found something that I certainly want to look into knitting.  I L O V E this sweater!  "Nautical striping goes modern with super-skinny lines and neutral beige in the bethany wrap I-cord edging and a polo collar add weight and anchoring detail to the long flyaway fronts."  This moved to the top of my list.  (I really must show you what I am working on.  So that I will actually work on it.)
I thought these darn beach umbrella's were just about the cutest things.  Ever. (Except no pattern.) The article is great.  All about "cool wool".  Wool is back for summer.
And this cute little swaddling leaf blanket?  Almost made me want to have another baby.  Almost.  Well, not really.  Just made me want to hold one.  I actually love the ages of my kids.  16, 14, 12.  I have a driver!

  1. That swaddling blanket got me too! I also thought about the nautical striped sweater. Still working on my current project though and trying not to get distracted.

That baby would have been the cutest pattern of the magazine if it hadn't been an ad :( But I was pleasantly surprised when I looked through the mag- I'm usually not such a fan of 'summer knits.'

  5. I got that magazine as well. And the baby pattern also made me smile. I am of the age that maybe I might knit it for a grandchild. Who knows.

  6. I made YOUR famous Choc Chip cookies yesterday for dessert for friends. They feel like hugs, don't you think? I would have pegged you with that sweater. The question remains, what colors?

I, too, was drawn immediately to the Bethany pattern and those umbrellas -- they definitely need to release a pattern for the umbrellas! :) Can't wait to see your Bethany.

  9. I'm not usually a spring or summer knits fan, either, (though this year the spring issue was one I saved, ahem, ahem...) but agree that this one had some cute things, including that sweater/shawl! Can't wait to see what you're making!

  11. I fell in love with the Bethany Wrap as well. In fact I just swatched with some forever old yarn (that would never work with a project I liked) and can't wait to cast on!

I got my issue and loved the swadling blanket too! I have already started on a baby blanket for my niece's baby due in July though - must stick with the plan for now :o). My son is 16 as of last week and a driver as of yesterday and my daughter is 12. These are good ages, I agree!
